'''Budhanilkantha School''' is [[Nepal]]'s premier boarding high school and middle school. It was established in 1972 with the aim of being the national school of Nepal where gifted children from all of Nepali districts could get educated, including those of poor backgrounds who would otherwise not receive a strong education. The school was a boys-only school until 1995, after which, with the change of administration from a British agency to a Nepali one, it became a coeducational school. It is located on the outskirts of [[Kathmandu]] valley.
The school is the best school in the whole country and it will be a complete waste of time to say that there are major problems arising in this school. Of course, it is the best school the way America is the best country in the world. And like in US, the school is plagued by a self-serving administration and despite prevailing problems like increasing drug use and entry into the school through corrupt means, individuals associated with the school continue to claim prominence. That is not to say the school does not produce a good number of intelligent able students. Most of these students go to USA and climb corporate ladders.
