The '''''New Journal of Botany''''' (print: {{ISSN|2042-3489}}, online: {{ISSN|2042-3497}}) is a [[peer review|peer-reviewed]]  [[academic journal]] specializing in research into the native [[Flora (plants)|flora]] of the [[British Isles]] and [[Western Europe]] that is due to be launched in 2011. The journal is published by [[Maney Publishing]] on behalf of the [[Botanical Society of the British Isles]]. NJB replaces the journal ''[[Watsonia (journal)|Watsonia]]'',<ref>http://www.watsonia.org.uk</ref> which ceases with vol. 28 (2010) and has a broadly similar (but increased) academic scope.

The journal is planned to be published twice a year (scheduled publication months June and November 2011). Topics covered will include population and conservation biology; ecological genetics, autecological, physiological and phenological studies; plant/animal interactions, and plant biochemistry.<ref>http://www.maney.co.uk/index.php/journals/njb/</ref>
