Warning:

Computer motherboards, expansion cards, hard disks, memory and others contain very delicate integrated circuit (IC) chips. To protect them against damage from static electricity, you should follow some precautions whenever you work on your computer.

Reminders:

1. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket before touching any component. Failure to do so may cause severe damage to the motherboard, peripherals, and/or components.
2. To avoid damaging the motherboard components due to static electricity, NEVER place your motherboard directly on the carpet or the like.
3. Touch both of your hands to a safety grounded object or to a metal object, such as the power supply case.
4.Hold components by the edges and do not the IC's, leads or connectors, or other components.
5.Place components on a grounded antistatic pad or on the bag that came with the component whenever the components are separated from the system.
6. Ensure that the power supply is switched off before you plug in or remove the power connector and expansions cardson the motherboard.

Steps in Dis assembly

1. Prepare your tools and equipments
2. Turn off the Power switch of the system Unit and monitor
3. Unplug the power cord/cable from Auto Voltage Regulator (AVR) or outlet
4. Discharge yourself by touching the back cover of the casing of the system unit
5. Unscrew the cover of th casing
6. Remove the cables and power connectors of the HDD, FDD, and DVD Drive
7. Remove the add on cards
8. Remove motherboard
9. Remove power supply
