'''Parallel [[Democracy]] Model''' ('''PDM''') is a system allowing [[auto-configuration]] and self-adaptation of [[social body|social bodies]] ([[citizen]]s) according to aggregated [[collective will]] of basic components of these bodies. PDM aims to address several [[fallacy|fallacies]] inherent to the most common variant of the [[Serial Democracy Model]] (SDM) which is nowdays called "[[parliamentary democracy]]".

In the past it was nearly impossible to make an [[referendum]] for each [[controversy]] in law, but now in age of [[computer]]s and [[public-key cryptography]] it seems to be very possible and it '''can probably lead to full [[democracy]]''' in systems, societies, institutions, governments or states which will implement parallel democracy model.

In case of '''SDM''', decisions to be undertaken are being executed '''one after another''' by legislative or executive body. For this to happen, the group of decision makers have to meet on one place in and one moment and realize "the vote". Option which gets the biggest number of votes is then "materialized" by means of external institutions.

In case of '''PDM''' there is '''no need for decision-makers to meet in one moment'''. However, they still have to meet in one place - which can be of virtual nature (eg.: [[Computer security|secure]] [[Server (computing)|server]] connected to the [[internet]]). Many different variables related to the functioning of the social body are presented in this place simultaneously & in parallel from eternity to eternity and decision-makers are free to add a new possible value to a given variable (Each variable has to be well described and such description can't be ever changed since the first vote are received). Other decision-makers give their votes to the possible values of a given variable and the value of a variable which has the highest number of votes is considered to be "temporary activated value".

Activation of the values is being realized periodically. Period of execution of such values can also be subjects of voting within the scope of PDM. For example [[government]] can print all values with proper descriptions and declare such document to be one and only law.

In the most liberal version of PDM, every citizen is allowed to vote for whatever value of whatever variable and to propose his own values. Each citizen have to visit [[bureau]] at least once to be given a [[Public-key cryptography|private key for signing]] (and optionally encrypting) his votes, then he can vote using [[internet]] or using [[Computer terminal|terminal]]s on bureau (and the key again). For older people there can be [[Machine-readable medium|machine readable]] printed version of form, which will be inserted to [[voting machine]] along with private key when proper fields are filled. Set of people (public keys) have to be fully transparent to ensure that there is no one who have more than one vote per each variable.

What you have to understand is that almost all the basic parameters of the social body (like tax level, immigration rate) can be conceived like integer, float or boolean variables. Therefore the governing of a society is the art of setting the right values of right variables and the ideal society is such a society which is closest to the global optimum of a search space.

In such a way the social body can reconfigure itself without the caste of full-time politicians.
