 School without homework is not an image I cannot embrace the fact of no homework. There are many reasons homework should not be abolished as it is useful towards the student, allows the teacher to acknowledge the student's weakness in turn giving them an chance to improve and acquire new skills. Also, taking time each night to do homework is a chance for students to catch up on missed class and further reinforces the day's lessons so it is permanently fixed in the student's mind where the information is stored and used when called upon. Like tying your shoes.

Several studies have proven that homework, in fact, does improve the balance of the student in school this strengthens the statement that time spent completing homework is time well spent. Rather than giving students another hour of free time, doing homework entitles the student to an hour of enriched education.
This can greatly benefit the student, as consistently finishing homework will receive great rewards such as a favorable test score or report card.

Some reasons why homework should not be banned are because when children get back from school they forget about what they learned in school. But with homework they can look at it and remember so in the morning they won’t be looking dumb in class. Homework is good in moderation to reinforce what has already been taught during a child's school day.

The majority of parents and teachers believe that homework is a chance for students to relearn all they missed or what students do not understand in class. It also helps them earn responsibility to finish their homework. Homework is there to help kids and to teach them, not to bore them or to take their free time away.

Why are people asking such a stupid question about the possible abolishment of homework if doing homework is what it takes to succeed in school? It is a common emotion to students regarding the distaste of homework, but many of teachers know better because they recognize the importance of homework in the success of students in school and outside of school.

So in the end homework should not be banned because it supports the student’s brain to remember stuff they learnt the week or day before, it can help students to catch up in what they’ve missed or do not get in school.
