Katate Hazushi Ni is a Yawara technique in Danzan Ryu Jujitsu.
Technique Description
Uke (attacker) grabs Tori's (defender's) opposite side (right hand grabs right) wrist. Tori turns his wrist and snaps upward at the Uke's thumb.

Katate Hazushi Ni is generally the Second on the list of Yawara due to its relationship to Katate Hazushi Ichi. Wrist escapes are traditionally taught first in many traditional martial arts due to the usefulness of seizing a warrior's sword arm as a prelude to a sneak attack.[1]
Variations
Circular escapes
Circular escapes are variations on the art in which instead of snapping upward, Tori breaks Uke's grip by rotating his wrist around Uke's and escapes by using his wrist as a lever.
