Currently, professionals attempt to eliminate suicide through multiple means. Prevention has been a primary method of attempting to eliminate suicide. However, professionals also attempt to eliminate suicide through force.
Some contend that suicide should be legalized.
Why would someone want to commit suicide? Often, it seems suicidal thoughts occur to individuals when they feel hopeless. This may seem self evident. Humans may feel like they are alone and they have no friends or family. Humans may feel like they have no material resources. They may feel like it is impossible to be a "happy" contributing member of society.
So what do we need to do to remedy this. It seems that it may be social and political reasons why someone's mind may turn toward suicidal thoughts. Therefore, through social and political actions, perhaps we could work towards the elimination of suicide.
