Wiki vandalism is the process of attempting to destroy a wiki by inserting unwanted messages or nonsense into the content.
Note that vandalism is different than "trolling". Vandals attempt to destroy content. Trolls want to waste the time of other site users.
Vandalism
Simple
User edits page with messages such as "poop" and saves it, or user blanks page.
Sophisticated
User inserts statements with ring of truth to them.
Tag team
User creates multiple accounts or works with a friend. One creates obvious and subtle vandalism, while the other cleans up the obvious stuff. The "good" account should only do things that can undeniably be considered good edits, other than the fact that they serve to obscure the inclusion of vandalism in the wiki.
If caught
Play dead. Never use the account again.

- Functionaries - high level administrators who know the active vandals and are used to their methods and style, and know personal information
