Note: Do not use this template directly (unless you know what you are doing) use {{subst:prod|whatever}} instead (the subst: bit is important), that way leave less room for human error.
This template will categorize articles into Category:Proposed deletion and, if used correctly the apropriate dated sub-category (if used incorectly it put the article in Category:Proposed deletion as of unknown date 2026 instead). See WP:PROD for how Proposed Deletion works.
