Here are some basic commands
- ls -list files
- su -substitute user
- $ -shell variable
- touch -make file and update timestamps
- rm -delete file
- mkdir -make directory
- !touch -repeat last touch command
- cp -copy
- mv - move or rename file
- top -list top 25 running processes
- who -list which users are logged on
- w -show what users are doing
- ln - create simbolic links
