A Textbook on Recovery Psychology

Recovery psychology is the study of recovery from psychological disorders. It is paralell to the concept of positive psychology, in the aim of focusing on the good things in life, instead of the bad things in life. It approaches clinical disorders not from the view of what a disorder is as in abnormal psychology, or how a disorder is treated as in clinical psychology but rather how does the individual with the disorder recover. This book is designed as a comprehensive text on psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery. Often, the two are spoken of as if the two were the same subject. In actuality the two are complimentary subjects. Psychiatric rehabilitation is a professional technology, where as recovery is a lived expeirince for persons with psychiatric conditions coping with circumstances related to their circumstances.

It is no surprise that the subject of science and philosophy are closely related aspects of the same thing.
