A subject of recent pondering is this: Drug rehabilitation is the rehabilitation away from or off of drugs, vocational rehabilitation is the rehabilitation in to or with developing a vocation. When we consider the recovery movement with its spectrum from pro to anti psychiatry beliefs, and we attach to it in some way to the profession of psychiatric rehabilitation, I can not help but wonder; is psychiatric rehabilitation a rehab from and off or a rehab with and to psychiatry? | |||
