It will be expensive to live on the moon. What kinds of business and factories and export will it take to pay for the necessary imports? What kinds of skills will be needed? We need to figure all this stuff out before our boomtown will prosper whether in a virtual simulation or actually on the moon.

Help us budding business tycoons find out and figure it out by browsing SpaceFuture.com or using other sources of information and report back creatively.

This project focuses on w:business plans and evaluation of business models and technical approaches and risk factors. There is some information and samples of business plans at: http://www.bplans.com Wikibooks also has some detailed information (http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Writing_a_Business_Plan) on standard business plans. Keep in mind we do not need excessive detail to get started and we can all collaborate on our lunar business models and plans.

Current theme song[1] is by Sharam. We are considering remixing it with some drums to represent discrete large missions abrubtly impacting the markets. We use this theme song to represent the complex interplay of businesses and customers in free markets. If you have a better theme song for Lunar Boom Town, please leave a link here or on discusion page so others may evaulatue it as a replacement.
