Post your ideas. Intellectual property can be valuable, and sharing ideas can help them develop through discussion, criticism, experimentation, and collaboration.

Ideas can range from small observations and questions to detailed proposals, inventions, research directions, artistic concepts, business models, and entirely new ways of approaching a problem. An idea can also lead to other ideas as people examine it from different perspectives or try to put it into practice.

This page can serve as a place to collect ideas at many stages of development, including early concepts that may later become projects, research topics, designs, or more detailed pages.

An idea

Vertical farm/condominium.

Imagine a building in which every condominium or commercial space is entirely surrounded by agricultural growing space, so that no two condominiums directly touch. The farm could become part of the structure, environment, and daily life of the building rather than occupying a separate location.

The idea could be explored from architectural, agricultural, economic, environmental, and social perspectives. Questions could include how food would be grown, how sunlight or artificial lighting would be provided, how water would circulate, and whether the agricultural areas could also provide insulation, privacy, or shared community space.

  • What are your ideas?
  • How can an idea be developed into something that can be tested, built, researched, or discussed?
  • What makes some ideas spread while others remain obscure?
  • How do ideas change when several people contribute to them?
