Open design

Having the designs available for a variety of different things would benefit humanity in general.

If designs to manufacture a variety of useful projects were licensed under the GFDL or other "free" licenses, this would give the chance for commercial enterprises to easily enter the market. This also may allow for the items to be produced at the lowest possible cost.

This resource is simply here to promote and create easily accessible and truly open designs.

How to get involved

THERE ARE NO WRONG WAYS TO GET INVOLVED so please do what you think would further the goals of this project but more importantly the mission of Wikiversity and Wikimedia as a whole, so long as you adhere to a few basic rules:

• Be civil towards others (and maybe even considerate, polite, and respectful)
• Be bold
• Assume good faith towards others
• Act in good faith in your contributions
