Lake Willoughby is a lake near the town of Westmore in Orleans County, Vermont. Willoughby is a glacial lake over 300' deep in places, making it the deepest in the state and very much resembles a Norwegian Fjord. It is a popular destination for swimming, hiking, and ice fishing with the largest lake trout caught in Vermont coming from it's waters, weighing 35 lbs and 3.2 ounces. Route 5A runs along the lake's eastern shore. Lake Willoughby is in the northeast section of the state of Vermont.
