Peryton Publishing is an American role-playing game publishing company founded in 2004. It is co-owned by Christina Lea and Tom K. Loney. It is best known for their original role-playing game products, Crawlspace and Qalidar, as well as for publishing content for Tunnels & Trolls and Monsters! Monsters! systems, frequently in collaboration with Ken St. Andre.
History
Peryton Publishing was founded by Lea and Loney in 2004, and started selling their first gaming system, Peryton Fantasy Role-Playing Game, written by Lea, built from Open gaming mechanics, and intended to simply the fantasy role-playing game experience, in 2006.
Loney and Lea are regular attendees of various conventions running products. Their "home convention" is Gen Con where they have ran scenarios since 2004. More recently events focus on items from their catalog of published role-playing games and game systems, including Wobble,[1] Crawlspace,[2] and Qalidar.[3]
Their on-line club is Peryton Gamers where they and other GMs do things like arrange for video RPG sessions for any roleplaying system.
TAG System
Tom's Adventure Gaming (TAG) is a set of generic role-playing game rules that can be used with a variety of settings. It was designed by Tom K. Loney.
Crawlspace
Crawlspace is Peryton Publishing's horror role-playing game. The initial version of Crawlspace used Tom's Adventure Gaming ("TAG") rules. In 2014 they published a new version using Tom's Action Card Kit ("TACK") system, where playing cards are used for randomization instead of dice.[4]
- TerrorHog, published in 2022, is a Crawlspace Event and brainchild of Lea. [5]
