Budhanilkantha School is Nepal's premier boarding high school and middle school. It was established in 1972 with the aim of being the national school of Nepal where gifted children from all of Nepali districts could get educated, including those of poor backgrounds who would otherwise not receive a strong education. It is located on the outskirts of Kathmandu valley.
