Phosphate buffered saline

Phosphate buffered saline (abbreviated PBS) is a buffer solution commonly used in biochemistry. PBS is non-toxic and isotonic; thus, it is used as a cellular cleaning solution. In addition, PBS is also used to disengage attached and clumped cells.
