Foresight Linux
Foresight Desktop Linux is a GNU/Linux distribution of free and non-free software. It aims to include the latest software and to be as user friendly as possible, yet powerful enough for advanced users.[citation needed]
Foresight is a GNOME-based distribution (although other "editions" are planned for future versions (a KDE version for example)), and has previously tracked GNOME development closely. The distribution imported every GNOME release since 2.10 on the day each was released. The latest version is 1.3, including GNOME 2.18.2 as the default desktop environment.
Foresight features the Conary software packaging system. This system only updates those specific files in packages which need to be updated, in contrast to other formats, such as the RPM and DEB formats, which download whole packages.
