History
The NSN Matriculation School had its origin as a primary school which was started in 1968 by Lalitha Menon in honour of her late husband NSN Menon. The school is managed by the NSN Education Committee registered under the Societies Registration Act 1975. It has since grown into an institution with around 1,700 students. The school celebrated its Silver Jubilee in the year 1993. It was presided over by the then Governor of Tamil Nadu, Chenna Reddy. The Golden Jubilee was celebrated on the 11th of August, 2018.
Our aim is not only to sharpen intellect, but also broaden perspective, widen outlook and horizon, deepen vision and insight strengthen human compassion, sympathy and understanding, bring grace and charm into the minds of our students making them noble in proportion, high and steadfast in aim, wide and tolerant in outlook, beneficient in intention with an innate regard and respect for the human personality and the dignity and worth of the human person.
Other activities
N.S.N school has a Bharat Scouts and Guides group. The school also is associated with infinitheism,[1] which teaches the students values. It won the International School Award in 2015 announced by the British Council.Template:Education in Tamil Nadu
