Enger Tower
Enger Tower is an Template:Convert/LonAoffDbSon tall, five storey blue stone observation tower located atop Enger Hill in Duluth, Minnesota.[1] The tower is at an elevation of 531 feet ({{rnd/cTemplate:Rnd/b|162|(0+(0-−0.515985037−0−0.1989700043)round0)|0}} m) above Lake Superior and affords a panoramic view of the Twin Ports.[2] Each level of the tower has a lookout point, and the top level is reached by stairs. A green beacon mounted on top of the tower can be seem for many miles.[1]
Dedicated by Crown Prince Olav and Crown Princess Martha of Norway on June 15 1939, it was built as a memorial to Bert Enger, a successful furniture and Norwegian immigrant who donated the land for Enger Park, in which the tower is located.[1]
