PIXELearning Ltd
About
PIXELearning is an ASTD award winning learning technologies company specialising in the production of Serious Games for business and education development. The company is based in Coventry, UK at the Serious Games Institute[1], and was founded by Kevin Corti and Suraj Rana in 2002. Both attended Coventry University where Kevin found their enthusiasm for computer games leading them into the eLearning world of Serious Games.
PIXELearning has bought a large array of products to the market that deliver business development and business education to individuals, business owners and students who are looking to learn how to set up and run a business, learn new marketing techniques or brush up on their finance skills.
Technology
LearningBeans® is a game-based learning platform. This flash, flex and ASP.net platform allows PIXELearning to create business simulations, role play and scenario based serious games effectively.
Serious Games for Education and Business
The Business Game has been known to be used in numerous ways, as this serious game has been aligned to the National Strategy for Enterprise Education for GCSE Business Studies and the IT Diploma, lessons have been planned around the simulation allowing reinforced learning and the opportunity to learn new business concepts in a safe experiential environment.
Community centres, YMCAs and small business start-ups have taken full advantage of The Enterprise Game as learning is more thorough, learners become more aware of how different silos affect each other and the effect on the overall commercial success.
Success might be flowing but are the finances? Teaching the processes in finance to students allows those who want to go into this field, gather an understanding of the role and requirements.
Some businesses can’t afford to hire specific finance personnel and opt to do it themselves. It is for this reason that The Finance Game was created.
A Serious Community
