Wikademia is a quickly-growing website, that in theory, has potential to reach a wide audience. It contains resources for educators, to make the process of teaching easier. Students may also find the site useful as a learning resource. Contributors are also encouraged to try creative projects, such as writing books or publishing journals on Wikademia.

It is similar to Wikiversity, but completely independent from the Wikimedia Foundation.
