Agriculture Research Station of Gonbad

The Agriculture Research Station of Gonbad is one of the well known agricultural research station in Iran because of its considerable contribution to releasing high yielding varieties as well as finding lines and producing hybrids with greater stability and higher tolerance to harsh abiotic conditions prevailing in the region. The researchers at the Station do research on crops such as chickpea, lentil, wheat, barley, sunflower, canola, cotton and melon. The best IPM mmethods in controling pests, diseases and weeds are also studied.
