Grammar

One letter words are always capitalized.

Nouns

• All nouns have gender: masculine, feminine or neutral
  • Singular masculine nouns end in -i
  • Singular feminine nouns end in -ä
  • Singular neutral nouns end in -o
• Possessive nouns have -n after the gender suffix (-i, -ä, or -o)
  • Also applies to pronouns

Verbs

• Infinitive (to ____) ends in -ir
• Present tense ends in -ys

Sentence Patterns

• Subject-Verb-Object
  • eg. Din jami ys Robärti.
• Question words go where the answer would be
  • Those who know Chinese should recognize this

Din jami ys hiu?: My name is what? (What is my name?)
Në ys hio?: You are who? (Who are you?)
