Jamia Nooriyya Arabiyya-Faizabad is a religious higher educational institute of Sunni Muslims of Kerala, India, founded by Sayyid Abdurrahiman Bafaki Tangal on a Waqf land provided by Karachi Bapu Hajji. This is Kerala's First Islamic Arabic College established samastha kerala jamiyyathul ulama in pursuit of building Kerala's own Baqiyat Salihat Arabic College. It is situated at Pattikkad, near Perinthalmanna in Malappuram district of Kerala. The institute is currently running under Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama. It celebrates its anniversary in February–March of every year.[1] Jamia has more than 50 junior colleges across the country. The institution is planning to set up its junior colleges in Nairobi and Fiji as declared officially by its head Prof. Ali Kutty Musliyar.

Students' Union

There is a strong student union in the college called Noorul Ulama Students Association. Their activities are exemplary for all institutions and unions. They conduct camps, seminars, workshops and debates to educate students and the public about Islamic principles. It allows people to live peacefully without communal strife and to behave in harmony with one another. It is a fact that Noorul Ulama has the reputation of being the first Islamic student organization in Kerala.

The Union has published a number of useful and informative books in various languages. In addition, a souvenir is published every year to commemorate the college's anniversary.

Noorul Ulama is a student organization of Jamia Nooriyya Arabiyya. This platform was started by the scholars to nurture the creative talents of the students. Honorable Syed Ali Bafaki Thangal was the first president of the organization which was formally inaugurated on June 24, 1964 by the Hon.Thazhekkode Kunjalavi Usthad. The organization was named Noorul Ulama (Light of the Scholars) by the Venerable Kottumala Ustad.

Noorul Ulama’s mission is to make the Jamia study period more enjoyable by cultivating all the students, above all, to hone their artistic and literary tastes in speech, to develop organizational skills and to acquire language skills.

For this, more than ten sub wings are currently working vigorously in the fields of art, literature, writing, culture, health and spirituality. The personal feature of the Noorul Ulama is that it continues its triumphant journey in consultation with the esteemed masters and with their satisfaction and suggestions.
