Nedungayil Sankuni Narayan (NSN) Matriculation / Memorial School is a chain higher secondary school in Chromepet, Chitlapakkam, Kundrathur , India. It is run by the NSN Education Committee based on Chennai.
History
The NSN Matriculation School was founded as a primary school in 1968 by Lalitha Menon in honour of her late husband NSN Menon. The school is managed by the NSN Education committee.[1] The current correspondent is Ms. Chitra Prasad.
The school celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1993 and its Golden Jubilee in 2018.[1] It also has opened another branch in Chitlapakkam providing both CBSE and State board curriculum.It has now grown into one of the most prestigious institution in the region with over 6000+ students studying.The motto of NSN is to "Nurturing students for the nation". It also has spread its wings with another branch in Kundrathur. It conducts competitions like the annual sports cum cultural competition called NSN MMT, KALAMELA, Annual Day, Annual Sports Meet, etc. The schools' curriculum focuses on holistic development, i.e., not only in academic development but also in value education and skill development.
Other activities
NSN school has a Bharat Scouts and Guides group. It won the International School Award in 2015 announced by the British Council. It guides multiple students towards success. It also has JRC activities and NCC Army Wing and Air Force.
There are also values of infinitheism, a path divined by mahātria Rā (more like a cult) that the correspondent follows that are pretty much all over the school. Some activities like Infini Day and Motivational Talk by NSN students to other schools are based on this path.[1]
