2010 South Texas earthquake

Template:Infobox earthquake The 2010 South Texas earthquake was a 4.0 M_W magnitude earthquake that stuck at 9:10 P.M. local time on April 25, 2010. The epicenter was 7 kilometres ({{rnd/cTemplate:Rnd/b|4|0|0}} mi) south-southwest of Rancho Banquete, 21 kilometres ({{rnd/cTemplate:Rnd/b|13|0|0}} mi) east of Alice, and 45 kilometres ({{rnd/cTemplate:Rnd/b|28|0|0}} mi) west of Corpus Christi. It was felt in Alice and in neighboring Jim Wells County. No damage was reported as a result of the earthquake, although the phone lines of Nueces and Jim Wells counties police departments experienced heavy traffic from residents calling about the quake. A magnitude 3.8 earthquake occurred in Jim Wells County in 1998.
