How many sites?

How many Mediawiki-based sites have you created in the past 12 months? How many have obtained at least 25 editors? How many are ranked above 500,000 by Alexa? I'm not trying to be confrontational -- I hope that you've hit paydirt on at least one of these. But, if you're finding that none of them seem to fly, then I think you ought to look closely at the implications of my first question above. -- Thekohser 03:04, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

That other's could edit, I think about 2. The other questions - 0, and probably 0. There are definitely multiple variables to take into account and think about. And you definitely raise some of them. I do appreciate the feedback. 06:29, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

It seems to me that the assumption behind these questions is that unless a project draws 25 editors and breaks into the top 500,000, it isn't successful. I don't buy it. Wikademia probably has other reasons for being in existance in addition to the desire for more traffic. Emperor 19:38, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

I'm not trying to label any of the manager's sites as being "not successful". Success is a scalar measure, I'd say, and just getting a Mediawiki install up and running on the web is probably a "3" out of 10 in my book, any day. But, let's be realistic -- a wiki that attracts fewer than 25 editors and fails to crack the Alexa 500,000 is likely to be deemed by a larger number of impartial observers as "less successful" than a wiki that does meet both of those thresholds. -- Thekohser 19:36, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Wikademia's alexa rank hit about 3,500,000... but its back down to around 5,500,000 ::Cry::

I didn't mean to start an argument over the definition of success. Just I think Wikademia should be happy getting started, stay true to himself, and if it's going to get popular it will. If not, at least he'll have a website he likes. Emperor 03:56, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello. I just filtered out all of my own edits. Yes, I was aware at the time. If you have ideas of what would be optimal for a main page, I would appreciate it.
