Politicalchronology is an unofficial list of political changes. Political events are inserted in this list when they affect the political status* of a state.

Guidance

By status, we refer to changed political conditions in a state, measured in what political institutions there are, how these are elected and responsible to each other, changes in the balance of power between them and changes in democratic credibility. Furthermore we include all military coups, even though there may not affect the previous political situation where military government may be politically institutionalised. Martial law and state of emergency are included where it affects a vast part of the state and has political background. Enviromentally caused or local declarations of emergency are usually not included, unless where the effects may dramatically harm the political institutions.

References are not accurate but will be edited shortly
